Hair Update

A friend of mine made mini 2 strand twists, using styling gel and the Sulfur 8 Loc, Twist and Braid Butter (you can use any butter/wax for hold). Then she put in half of a long drinking straw with a bobby pin on each end. I let the hair set for about a day. When taken out I had straw curls.
My hair kept the style for about a week...then the products were added again with the straws. Voila! This time my hair came out longer. I had curls that resembled spiral curls.

Some Promises from the Bible for Today

"Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." Ps. 139:16 NLT

"It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God." 2 Cor. 3:5 NLT

The sun rises

The Sun Rises by D Maria
The inspiration for this came some time in June of 2007

The sun, it rises on you

Brilliant and radiant you are
Causing life to sparkle like early morning dew

You light up a room when you walk in
Birds hush their singing
A whiff of you and throughout Earth a din

Spring comes closest
Flowers and nature
At its fondest

Fair child so true
The sun rises
It even sets on you
